The Program Manager, Business Services position at Philadelphia Gas Works is located in William Penn Annex East, Philadelphia County. This full‑time role supports the utility’s mission to deliver reliable gas service to over half a million residential and commercial customers across the city.

About the Role

As a key member of the Business Services team, you will help coordinate cross‑functional initiatives that improve operational efficiency and customer experience. You will partner with internal stakeholders to track project milestones, manage resources, and ensure compliance with PGW policies and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and status reports for business‑process improvement efforts.
  • Facilitate meetings between operations, finance, IT, and customer service teams to align objectives.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend solutions that enhance service delivery and reduce costs.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and prepare executive summaries for senior leadership.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards, environmental regulations, and corporate governance.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience managing projects or programs in a utility, municipal, or large‑scale service environment.
  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project‑management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of natural‑gas distribution or energy‑industry fundamentals is a plus.
