About the Role
As an Operations Technician at Brimstone, you'll work hands-on with the people and equipment driving our proprietary process for making Ordinary Portland Cement. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Oakland, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving industrial startup environment and wants their day-to-day work to contribute directly to refining a breakthrough technology and preparing for the build-out of our first production facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation, monitoring, and upkeep of process equipment and systems
- Run experiments, collect data, and help document results as the team continues to refine the cement production process
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs to keep operations running smoothly and safely
- Follow established safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized, and compliant work area
- Collaborate closely with engineers, scientists, and fellow technicians to improve processes and reach production milestones
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in an industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, or process-operations setting
- Comfort working with machinery, instruments, and technical equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to safety and accurate record-keeping
- A collaborative, mission-driven mindset and the flexibility to adapt in a growing startup
- Willingness to work on-site in Oakland, California
