Production Team Lead

Insight Global is hiring a Production Team Lead to lead manufacturing operations at our Oak Ridge North facility in Montgomery County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to manage a production team, maintain operational excellence, and help drive manufacturing success on either a day or night shift schedule.

About the Role

As Production Team Lead, you'll take on a hands-on supervisory position that bridges production operators and plant leadership. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day direction of your production team, ensuring we consistently meet output targets while upholding rigorous safety and quality standards. Working alongside the Shift Supervisor and Foreman, you'll be the go-to leader on the production floor, solving problems in real time and keeping operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, and support production operators to meet daily manufacturing schedules and performance goals
• Assign labor and tasks based on production priorities and individual operator capabilities
• Monitor production output, track key metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and conduct safety checks throughout each shift
• Inspect finished products and work-in-progress to ensure quality standards are consistently met
• Communicate with Shift Supervisors and Foremen regarding staffing needs, equipment issues, and production status
• Document production activities and escalate concerns to management when necessary
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement on your team

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a manufacturing production environment, ideally in a supervisory or team lead role
• Strong understanding of production processes, safety requirements, and quality control principles
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Excellent communication skills and comfort coordinating across different shifts and departments
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards
• Flexibility to work either day or night shift schedules as needed
