Production Operator

Avient Corporation is hiring a Production Operator to join our North Baltimore, Wood County facility. This is a full-time position where you'll operate specialized equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that produces chemicals and materials for diverse industrial customers.

About the Role

In this production operator role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring manufacturing equipment used in blending, mixing, and chemical transport processes. Your work directly impacts the quality of products we deliver to customers while maintaining efficient production schedules and cost control. You'll work a consistent Monday through Thursday schedule, 6 AM to 4 PM, giving you predictable hours and a three-day weekend.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor equipment used for blending and mixing chemical compounds
• Transport finished products and materials according to production specifications
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process
• Record production data and maintain accurate shift documentation
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Reliability and consistent attendance
• Willingness to work a Monday-Thursday, 6 AM to 4 PM schedule
• Basic mathematical and reading skills for production documentation
• Physical ability to perform manufacturing tasks and lift materials as needed
