LISI Aerospace in Torrance, Los Angeles County, is hiring a Production Machine Operator for a part-time weekend shift position (Friday–Sunday). This hands-on role involves operating automatic machinery to support our aerospace manufacturing operations.
About the Role
As a Production Machine Operator, you'll handle the day-to-day setup and execution of automatic manufacturing equipment during weekend shifts. Working largely independently, you'll be responsible for keeping machines running smoothly while maintaining the quality standards our customers expect.
What You'll Do
- Configure and prepare automatic production equipment for manufacturing runs
- Operate up to three machines concurrently to produce parts
- Oversee machine operation to ensure product quality and consistency
- Complete routine maintenance and address basic operational issues
- Track production metrics and communicate equipment concerns to supervisors
- Organize and maintain your production workspace
- Additional duties as required
What We're Looking For
- Production machinery experience in a manufacturing setting
- Mechanical understanding and troubleshooting capability
- Strong quality focus and attention to detail
- Self-directed work approach with strong time management
- Dependable attendance record, specifically for weekend shifts (Friday–Sunday)
- Physical stamina for standing throughout shifts and handling production materials
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and protocols
