Product Science Engineer

PayPay, a fintech company is currently seeking a data scientist to join their team. In this role the data scientist will play a part, in driving product innovations and enhancements through research and analysis. They will be responsible for conducting experiments and hypothesis testing to gain insights into user and merchant behavior as measuring and monitoring important product metrics. Collaborating closely with functional teams they will iterate on the product development cycle to ensure continuous improvement.

To be considered for this position candidates should possess a bachelors degree in a field along with a background in experimental design and data analytics. Excellent communication skills in English and/or Japanese are required, as at least three years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Scala or Python is essential along with knowledge of SQL.

Preferred qualifications include holding a masters or PhD degree in a field and having than five years of experience within a similar role. Additionally experience with Big Data technologies and expertise in designing experiments with inference would be advantageous.

This is a time remote position that offers flexible working hours. The salary will be based on skills, experience and abilities while being reviewed annually.
