Product Development Coordinator

Dorfman Milano, a century-old innovator in the headwear industry, is hiring a full-time Product Development Coordinator to join its team at the company's headquarters in Garland, Texas (Dallas metro area).

About the Role

As a Product Development Coordinator at Dorfman Milano, you'll sit at the center of the product lifecycle — bridging design, sourcing, and production to bring new headwear styles from initial concept through to market-ready delivery. This is an on-site role in Garland that offers real hands-on involvement with a broad, multi-channel portfolio sold to major national retailers and independent boutiques alike.

What You'll Do

• Manage and track product development calendars, ensuring key milestones and handoff dates are met across multiple concurrent styles
• Coordinate sample submissions, review cycles, and approval workflows between internal teams and domestic and international vendors
• Maintain accurate product specifications, tech packs, and development documentation throughout the creation process
• Support material and trim sourcing in alignment with quality standards and cost targets
• Enter and update product data across internal systems, keeping records current from development through production handoff
• Communicate proactively with cross-functional partners in design, sales, and operations to surface issues and keep launches on track
• Assist with the development of Made in USA product lines produced at Dorfman Milano's Texas manufacturing facility

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising, product development, apparel design, or a related field
• Experience in a product development or production coordination role within headwear, accessories, or apparel preferred
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail across simultaneous projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with PLM or product management software is a plus
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for working with both internal stakeholders and vendor partners
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
