About the Role
As a Produce Associate at McCaffrey's Supermarkets in Princeton, Mercer County, you'll keep our produce department vibrant, well-stocked, and inviting. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position focused on presenting fresh fruits and vegetables at their very best while delivering a welcoming shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet shoppers warmly and assist them with prompt, helpful, and courteous service.
- Unpack incoming produce and prepare it for sale through trimming, packaging, weighing, and pricing.
- Restock displays with fresh product, rotating stock and removing any out-of-code or below-standard items.
- Confirm that product pricing is accurate across the department.
- Build and arrange attractive displays and create clear, informative product signage.
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of every item carried in the produce department.
Qualifications
- A positive, service-minded attitude and genuine enjoyment of helping customers.
- Reliability and availability to work evening shifts on a part-time schedule.
- Comfort with physical, hands-on work, including lifting, standing, and handling product throughout the shift.
- Attention to detail when pricing, rotating, and presenting fresh produce.
- Willingness to learn the full range of department products and best practices.
