Principal Consultant, HCM

About the Role

As a Principal Consultant focused on HCM, you'll be responsible for guiding clients through complex human capital management transformations. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll architect solutions, mentor junior consultants, and own key client relationships throughout engagement lifecycles. Your strategic perspective will shape how organizations deploy Workday HCM to solve real business challenges.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end HCM implementations and optimizations on the Workday platform for mid-market and enterprise organizations
• Conduct discovery sessions and develop detailed technical roadmaps aligned with client business objectives
• Serve as the primary technical contact and trusted advisor on HCM strategy, architecture, and best practices
• Oversee design, configuration, testing, and deployment of HCM modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, and Talent Management
• Build and lead implementation teams; mentor consultants through complex problem-solving
• Partner with clients to establish governance frameworks, change management approaches, and training strategies
• Document solutions, processes, and lessons learned to strengthen future engagements

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of hands-on Workday HCM consulting or implementation experience
• Proven track record leading enterprise-scale HCM projects from conception through successful go-live
• Deep expertise in HCM business processes, configuration, integrations, and reporting
• Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience building and mentoring technical teams
• Problem-solving mindset and adaptability in fast-paced environments
• Workday certifications preferred
