Practice Manager

Albany Medical Center is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead the operational and administrative engine of our General Medicine practice in Albany, Albany County. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for a healthcare operations professional who thrives on building efficient systems and elevating the patient experience.

About the Role

Reporting to the Practice Administrator, the Practice Manager oversees the day-to-day business operations of the Medicine – General department. You will steer strategic planning, shape budgets, and manage cost center performance while providing hands-on leadership across every facet of patient relations. This is a daytime shift position based in Albany, New York, with a posted salary range of $70,068.00 to $108,605.00.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the overall administrative management of varied business functions within the practice.
• Lead strategic planning initiatives that support departmental growth and efficiency.
• Develop, monitor, and manage budgets and cost center financial performance.
• Provide engaged, hands-on leadership for all dimensions of patient relations and service quality.
• Partner closely with the Practice Administrator to align daily operations with broader organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in healthcare or medical practice administration and operations.
• Strong background in budget development, financial oversight, and cost center management.
• Proven leadership ability with a track record of guiding teams and improving patient-facing services.
• Skill in strategic planning and translating goals into measurable operational results.
• Availability for a full-time, day-shift schedule on site in Albany, Albany County.
