Join Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare as a Porter (Housekeeping) professional at our Scotchtown Branch in Orange County. This full-time position works evening hours (3pm–11pm), every other weekend required, with excellent benefits supporting your career in healthcare services.
About the Role
As Porter, you'll maintain the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of our 230-bed skilled nursing facility. Your work directly supports our mission to deliver outstanding short-term rehabilitation, subacute, and long-term healthcare services. You'll be an essential part of the team that families trust to care for their loved ones.
What You'll Do
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain patient rooms, common areas, hallways, and bathrooms to healthcare facility standards
- Change, collect, and process linens and laundry according to facility protocols
- Empty trash and dispose of waste properly, following infection control procedures
- Support room turnover between patient admissions and discharges
- Assist with moving and organizing equipment and supplies as needed
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisory staff
- Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude while working evening hours
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in housekeeping, custodial work, or healthcare facility maintenance (preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
- Reliability and willingness to work evening hours and alternating weekends
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Basic understanding of or willingness to learn infection control practices
