Poker Shift Supervisor

Tampa Bay Downs is seeking an experienced Poker Shift Supervisor to lead poker room operations in Tampa, Hillsborough County. This full-time, on-site role puts you at the center of an energetic gaming floor where leadership, fairness, and player experience come together.

About the Role

As the Poker Shift Supervisor at Tampa Bay Downs, you will oversee all activity in the Poker Room throughout your assigned shift. Working closely with the Poker Manager—and stepping into that leadership role when needed—you will keep games running smoothly, dealers organized, and gameplay aligned with established standards and Florida gaming regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day Poker Room operations during your scheduled shift in Tampa.
• Build, manage, and adjust the dealer rotation to maintain consistent table coverage.
• Confirm that dealers consistently follow house rules, established procedures, and gaming regulations.
• Process and verify jackpot payoffs accurately as they occur during play.
• Support, and act on behalf of, the Poker Manager across supervisory duties when they are unavailable.
• Resolve player and dealer questions promptly to protect the integrity of every game.

Qualifications

• Solid working knowledge of poker games, table procedures, and gaming compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, schedule, and motivate a team of dealers.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling jackpot payoffs and rule enforcement.
• Confident decision-making and clear communication in a fast-moving gaming environment.
• Availability to work full-time, on-site shifts in Tampa, Hillsborough County.
