About the Role
As a Piping Designer at Project Resource Collective, you will work on-site in Simi Valley, California, producing detailed piping layouts and design deliverables for gas utility and infrastructure projects. Using AutoCAD Plant 3D and complementary CAD tools, you'll convert engineering concepts, P&IDs, and project specifications into accurate, build-ready documentation that keeps construction teams on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed piping layouts and 3D models for natural gas and utility infrastructure work.
- Develop construction-ready drawings and design deliverables using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Interpret engineering input, P&IDs, and project specifications, translating them into precise design output.
- Apply industry CAD standards to ensure accuracy and consistency across all documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to support successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D and related CAD design software.
- Experience producing piping designs and 3D models, ideally within gas utilities or related infrastructure.
- Ability to read and work from P&IDs, engineering concepts, and detailed project specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, code-compliant deliverables.
- Availability to work full-time on-site in Simi Valley, California.
