About the Role

As a part-time Phlebotomist with Sonic Healthcare USA, you'll be a critical part of our laboratory and patient services team in the Katy area. You'll perform venipuncture and other specimen collection techniques with precision and compassion, ensuring every patient interaction reflects our commitment to quality care and a supportive work environment.

What You'll Do

• Collect blood and other specimens from patients using proper venipuncture techniques and safety protocols
• Prepare, label, and process specimens for laboratory analysis and testing
• Maintain accurate patient records and specimen documentation
• Adhere to infection control and biohazard safety standards at all times
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to minimize anxiety and ensure comfortable specimen collection
• Keep equipment clean and organized, restocking supplies as needed
• Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow

What We're Looking For

• Current phlebotomy certification or equivalent training and qualification
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in patient care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Reliability and professional demeanor in a healthcare setting
