PHARMACY/PHARMACIST (HR)

King Soopers is hiring a full-time Pharmacy/Pharmacist (HR) at its Stratmoor Hills location in El Paso County, Colorado — an opportunity to lead a high-volume retail pharmacy team while delivering the patient-centered care this community depends on.

About the Role

As a Pharmacist at King Soopers Stratmoor Hills, you will oversee all day-to-day pharmacy operations, cultivating an environment where patients feel genuinely cared for and associates are motivated to perform at their best. You will be accountable for departmental sales and profitability targets, quality assurance compliance, and building a staffing schedule that keeps the pharmacy running smoothly at every hour of operation.

What You'll Do

• Accurately dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper use, interactions, and potential side effects
• Drive an exceptional in-store pharmacy experience that earns long-term patient loyalty
• Lead, coach, and schedule pharmacy technicians to align coverage with business volume and customer demand
• Monitor and manage department expenses while meeting established sales and profit objectives
• Maintain a sanitary, organized, and fully compliant pharmacy environment that meets all state board and DEA regulations
• Enforce quality assurance protocols for prescription verification, controlled substances, and patient record accuracy
• Process third-party insurance claims and resolve adjudication issues efficiently
• Manage medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of pharmaceutical products
• Uphold HIPAA standards and protect patient confidentiality at all times

What We're Looking For

• Active Pharmacist license valid in the state of Colorado (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution
• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to translate complex medication information into clear patient guidance
• Demonstrated leadership skills — experience supervising pharmacy technicians or support staff preferred
• Familiarity with retail pharmacy management, including scheduling, inventory control, and budget oversight
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suited to a high-traffic, community-facing setting
• Commitment to accuracy, regulatory compliance, and patient safety
