This is a full-time, permanent substitute teacher position designed for experienced educators seeking stable, year-round work in a supportive school environment. What You'll Do
- Deliver daily classroom instruction aligned with teacher lesson plans and district standards
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Communicate with classroom teachers and school administration about student academic progress and classroom accomplishments
- Monitor student attendance, participation, and engagement
- Assess student understanding through observation and classwork
- Foster strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Support the school's mission and educational goals
What We're Looking For
- Valid Illinois teaching license or substitute certification eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Experience working with elementary-age students
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff
- Commitment to student-centered instruction and inclusive practices
- Professional demeanor and consistent reliability
- Ability to follow instructional guidelines while adapting to individual classroom needs
