About the Role
As a Pediatric Nurse with Baltimore County Head Start, you'll champion the health and wellbeing of the children enrolled in our early childhood programs. This on-site, full-time position is ideal for a nurse who wants their day-to-day to reflect their values and a deliberate choice about how they want to spend their working life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and health oversight for children participating in the Baltimore County Head Start program
- Conduct health screenings and monitor each child's ongoing developmental and medical needs
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records in line with Head Start standards
- Partner with families, educators, and program staff to promote healthy outcomes for every child
- Support immunization tracking, illness prevention, and health education within the program
Qualifications
- Active registered nursing licensure in the state of Maryland
- Background or interest in pediatric or early childhood health care
- Strong communication skills and genuine care for children and their families
- Ability to work collaboratively within a community-focused program environment
- Availability for a full-time, on-site schedule in Baltimore, Baltimore County
