Premier Medical Resources is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Posting professional to support our revenue cycle operations at our Fairbanks/Northwest Crossing location in Houston. In this full-time position, you'll process patient payments and manage accounts receivable to keep our billing operations running smoothly.
About the Role
As a Payment Posting specialist, you'll be the backbone of our revenue cycle team, handling the full spectrum of payment processing and account reconciliation. Your work directly impacts how efficiently we manage patient accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
What You'll Do
- Process incoming patient payments via multiple channels including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments
- Post payments accurately to patient accounts within our billing system
- Reconcile payment deposits with patient billing statements to ensure accuracy
- Follow up on payment discrepancies and work with patients and insurance carriers to resolve billing issues
- Assist with collections efforts and account recovery activities
- Monitor payment schedules and deadlines to maintain consistent processing
- Maintain organized records and documentation of all transactions
- Support the broader revenue cycle team in meeting departmental goals
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payment posting
- Ability to manage multiple payment transactions and maintain organization
- Basic understanding of medical billing and healthcare revenue cycle processes
- Proficiency with computer systems and billing software (experience with healthcare systems preferred)
- Excellent communication skills for resolving billing questions with patients and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and meet daily and weekly processing targets
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant billing or accounting experience a plus
