Paraprofessional II – Preschool

About the Role

As a Paraprofessional II working in preschool, you will support certified teachers in creating an engaging, nurturing classroom environment for early learners. Your work directly contributes to student success by providing essential instructional support, behavioral guidance, and assistance with classroom operations under teacher direction.

What You'll Do

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, instructional activities, and educational resource development
• Provide direct classroom support to preschool students, reinforcing learning objectives and expectations
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and organized learning environment
• Support students during transitions between activities and daily preschool routines
• Assist with behavioral support and foster social-emotional development for young learners
• Prepare and organize instructional materials as directed by classroom staff
• Collaborate with teachers to address individual student needs and support inclusive instruction

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Passing score on the Para Pro Assessment, or completion of at least 48 college credits
• Proof of US citizenship
• Demonstrated fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Ability to perform basic mathematical tasks
• Physical capability to perform the essential duties of this position
• Successful completion of a criminal history background check
