About the Role
This is a full-time, over-the-road (OTR) contract driver position for independent operators who hold a 1099 status. You will haul refrigerated (reefer) or curtain-side van loads on dedicated lanes, with the freedom to weigh in on the regions you prefer to run. Pay is structured at 29% of each load, giving you earnings that scale directly with the freight you move.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate reefer or curtain van equipment safely on long-haul OTR routes from Salem, Essex County.
- Transport assigned loads along dedicated lanes while maintaining on-time delivery standards.
- Communicate route and destination preferences with dispatch to keep your schedule workable.
- Maintain temperature-controlled cargo integrity for refrigerated shipments.
- Complete required orientation at the company's Texas location prior to dispatch.
Qualifications
- Eligibility to work as a 1099 independent contract driver.
- Experience operating reefer and/or curtain van trailers in an OTR setting.
- Willingness to travel to Texas for orientation, with travel costs covered by the company.
- A safety-focused, dependable approach to long-haul driving.
