This full-time, over-the-road (OTR) flatbed position with VANZMAT TRUCKING COMPANY LLC in Detroit, Wayne County is structured as a solo contract driver opportunity (1099). Because our owner is an active driver too, the people running this operation genuinely understand what your daily grind looks like. New to flatbed? That's not a dealbreaker — we provide training to get you comfortable and confident on the trailer.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a flatbed trailer on OTR routes as a solo driver
• Cover an average of 2,000 to 3,000 miles per week
• Handle tarping on roughly 25% of loads
• Secure freight and maintain compliance with safety standards on the road
• No driver loading or unloading required

Pay & Home Time

• Average gross weekly pay of $1,500 to $2,100
• Pay rate of approximately $0.70 per mile (CPM)
• Typical schedule of 5 to 10 days out, with flexibility to stay out longer if you prefer

Qualifications

• Eligible to work as a 1099 solo contract driver
• Flatbed experience welcomed — training available for those without it
• Willingness to run OTR and manage tarping duties
