About the Role
As an OTR CDL A Driver with GT Expedited, you'll handle long-haul freight operations across the upper Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions, including routes throughout Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ohio. This role emphasizes work-life balance, with guaranteed time at home on weekends to reconnect with family and rest between runs. You'll operate modern equipment and manage specialized freight assignments that keep your skills sharp and your career moving forward.
Compensation & Incentives
- Guaranteed earnings of $2,000 per week during your first 90 days
- $15,000 sign-on bonus (with the first payment issued within your first two weeks)
- Average weekly gross of $2,760 based on typical driver performance
What You'll Do
- Operate over-the-road commercial freight in dry van and LTL (Less Than Truckload) configurations
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Complete pre-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance documentation
- Manage delivery schedules to meet customer timelines
- Communicate regularly with dispatch and logistics coordinators
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with a minimum of one year verifiable driving experience
- Clean driving record and commitment to safety compliance
- Ability to work independently and adapt to regional freight demands
- Professional communication skills and reliability in customer interactions
