Continental Resources is hiring an Operator I for our Watford, McKenzie County operations. This is a full-time, entry-level position focused on building core lease operator competencies under mentorship in our oil and gas production environment.
About the Role
As an Operator I, you'll work directly with our production systems to monitor, control, and maintain a designated portfolio of wells and surface facilities. You'll gain hands-on experience across all core aspects of daily lease operations—from equipment monitoring and fluid handling to safety compliance and maintenance coordination. A dedicated mentor will guide your development throughout your first months, helping you build the technical foundation and industry knowledge needed to succeed in this role.
What You'll Do
- Monitor well status, production rates, and equipment performance throughout your assigned lease area
- Perform routine facility inspections, maintenance tasks, and operational adjustments
- Maintain detailed operational logs and report production data accurately
- Follow all Company Level Requirements (CLR) standards and operating procedures
- Respond to routine operational issues and escalate complex problems appropriately
- Support facility upkeep and minor repairs under supervision
- Work collaboratively with experienced operators and maintenance teams
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to learn technical oil and gas production operations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and follow written procedures
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
- Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
