BP Americas, Inc. is hiring a full-time Operations Technician in Bethlehem, Northampton County, to support the day-to-day running of renewable energy facilities operated by Archaea Energy, a bp company. This on-site role is ideal for hands-on professionals eager to grow within the gas and low-carbon energy sector.
About the Role
As an Operations Technician, you will join Archaea Energy's operations team in Bethlehem, helping to keep landfill-gas-to-energy and renewable natural gas (RNG) plants running safely and efficiently. This is a full-time, fully on-site position with no remote option, placing you at the heart of one of the largest RNG operations in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain equipment at RNG, landfill-gas-to-electric, and dairy digester facilities.
- Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize plant uptime and reliability.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards during daily operations.
- Record operating data, report abnormalities, and support troubleshooting of process issues.
- Work alongside engineers and fellow technicians to keep production running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Practical experience or training in plant, mechanical, electrical, or facility operations.
- Comfort working hands-on with industrial equipment and process systems.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
- Ability to work on-site in Bethlehem, Northampton County, on a full-time basis.
- A team-focused, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
