Serco is hiring an experienced Operations SME to support Air Combat Command's Combat Air Forces Distributed Training Center (CAF DTC) at Langley AFB, VA. About the Role

As an Operations SME with Serco, you will lend front-line combat aviation experience to the CAF DTC, which delivers advanced integration training to combat units worldwide. The center connects warfighters in both large-force and small-team scenarios, pitting them against modern, sophisticated threats inside an expansive virtual battlespace. Your insight ensures these training events stay realistic, mission-relevant, and aligned with how aircrews actually fight.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise across distributed mission training operations at the CAF DTC.
• Support the design and execution of large-force and small-team integration training events.
• Help replicate current and emerging threat environments within the virtual training domain.
• Advise on tactics, scenario realism, and operational fidelity for participating combat units.
• Collaborate with training staff and stakeholders to continuously strengthen warfighter readiness.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Fighter Pilot, Weapon Systems Officer (WSO), Combat Systems Officer (CSO), or Naval Flight Officer (NFO).
• Direct operational background in combat air forces and mission-level tactics.
• Familiarity with integrated, threat-representative training environments.
• Ability to work on-site at Langley AFB, VA in a full-time capacity (this position is not remote).
