The Office Manager role at Morris & Dean exists to streamline our operations and ensure efficiency across all facets of our firm. This hybrid position is crucial for supporting our mission of delivering outstanding legal services. The Office Manager will not only handle operational logistics but also contribute to case management and paralegal work as needed, ensuring our team remains focused on achieving exceptional results for our clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Office Operations: Oversee day-to-day office logistics, including supply management, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a clean workspace.
  • HR and Administrative Oversight: Manage PTO tracking, schedule oversight, and serve as the main point of contact for employee communications.
  • Case Management: Monitor cases using Clio, identify inactivity, and ensure timely follow-ups and task assignments.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure tasks and deadlines are met across the team, proactively resolving bottlenecks.
  • Potential Paralegal Support: Additional support with personal injury cases may be requested on an as-needed basis.


What we’re looking for: 

  • Experience: Approximately 2+ years in a legal environment, with a preference for hybrid experience in office management and paralegal work.
  • Cognitive Ability: High intelligence and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on a self-starter mentality.
  • Technical Skills: Comfort with Clio and standard office tools; ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Professionalism and diplomacy, capable of navigating internal dynamics and getting along with everyone.
  • Proactivity: Initiative to see and address problems without needing direction, and ability to handle both high-level and menial tasks.
