Ehs (Safety) Technician

Join Peco Foods as an EHS (Safety) Technician in Bay Springs, Indiana, in a full-time role dedicated to keeping our team safe. You'll be the cornerstone of our Environmental, Health, and Safety program, protecting both people and our operation from hazards and compliance risks every single day.

About the Role

This position sits at the heart of workplace safety. You'll own the day-to-day execution of our EHS initiatives, from conducting safety inspections and responding to incidents to maintaining occupational health services. Your work directly prevents injuries, reduces risk, and ensures our facility meets all regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

• Provide immediate first aid and medical support to employees, coordinating care and transportation when needed
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
• Conduct routine safety inspections of work areas, equipment, and processes
• Support OSHA compliance and other regulatory requirements specific to food processing operations
• Deliver safety training and educate employees on hazard recognition and prevention
• Maintain health and safety records, logs, and documentation
• Assist in developing and implementing injury prevention programs
• Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and improve our safety culture

What We're Looking For

• First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety principles
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate safety requirements clearly to diverse teams
• Physical capability to inspect facilities and respond to incidents
• Proactive mindset about hazard prevention
