About the Role
As a New Graduate Nurse at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, you'll deliver patient-centered care while completing a structured transition-to-practice program designed specifically for newly licensed nurses. Working under the mentorship of experienced clinical nurses, you'll develop the clinical judgment and technical proficiency essential to professional nursing.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient responses to treatment
- Perform nursing procedures such as medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring under appropriate supervision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support safe, evidence-based patient outcomes
- Participate in comprehensive orientation and competency-based training programs
- Learn hospital systems, protocols, and best practices while building confidence in clinical decision-making
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members

- Current enrollment in or recent completion of an accredited nursing program leading to RN licensure
