Core Duties Prepare examination rooms, imaging equipment, and patient records before scheduled X-ray and CT procedures. Review requisitions, verify patient identity, and explain procedures in clear, reassuring language. Position patients accurately while applying immobilization or shields as needed to optimize image geometry and minimize exposure. Select appropriate technical factors and operate multi-slice CT scanners and digital radiographic systems to obtain high-quality studies. Monitor patients during examinations, respond promptly to observations, and adjust techniques for optimal diagnostic value. Evaluate images for completeness and clarity, repeating views only when clinically necessary and documenting any variances. Maintain objective, radiation-safety practices that protect patients, staff, and yourself throughout every shift. Perform routine equipment quality-control checks, clean and stock work areas, and escalate maintenance issues without delay. Enter exam data into the radiology information system, archive studies, and communicate findings to supervising radiologists or referring clinicians as required. Support workflow continuity by assisting colleagues during peak demand and participating in departmental process improvements. Who We're Looking For Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) with documented CT competency or eligibility to obtain CT credentials promptly. State licensure or eligibility for the jurisdictions associated with Multiple locations. Proven ability to perform both X-ray and CT examinations independently across varied patient populations and acuity levels.
