Accountable Healthcare Staffing is hiring a Medical Technologist (MT) to join our hospital laboratory team in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. This is a full-time contract position offering immediate availability with a 13-week assignment duration.
About the Role
You'll work in a hospital clinical laboratory environment performing diagnostic testing and analysis essential to patient care. This position is structured as 40 hours per week across four rotating 10-hour shifts, with weekend coverage required.
What You'll Do
- Conduct laboratory tests including clinical chemistry, hematology, blood bank, microbiology, and urinalysis procedures
- Prepare and analyze patient specimens with precision and accuracy
- Operate and maintain clinical laboratory instrumentation
- Report test results according to established protocols and quality standards
- Collaborate with nursing staff and clinical teams to support patient diagnoses and treatment decisions
- Follow strict safety protocols and laboratory compliance requirements
What We're Looking For
- Current ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) Generalist certification
- Active Louisiana clinical laboratory technologist license
- Minimum 1 year of recent US clinical laboratory experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with clinical laboratory equipment and procedures
- Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and patient safety
- Ability to work rotating weekends and 4/10 shift schedules
- Note: Lab Assistant experience alone does not meet the experience requirement for this position.
