About the Role

As a Meat Clerk, you will support the fresh‑meat department by preparing, displaying, and maintaining high‑quality products for members. This part‑time position offers a hands‑on role where attention to detail and friendly service help families save on everyday essentials.

What You'll Do

• Slice, weigh, package, and label a variety of meats according to company standards and member requests.
• Stock the meat case and back‑room inventory, rotating products to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, following all food‑safety and hygiene procedures.
• Provide courteous assistance to members, answering questions about cuts, preparation tips, and product availability.
• Monitor product dates, remove outdated items, and communicate inventory needs to the department lead.
• Adhere to safety guidelines when using slicers, grinders, and other equipment.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, verifying quantities, and storing products at proper temperatures.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Basic math skills for weighing, pricing, and inventory tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, service‑oriented attitude.
• Reliability and punctuality with a willingness to work a flexible part‑time schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prior experience in a grocery, retail, or food‑service setting is helpful but not required.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
