Position Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the daily execution of marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness and revenue. This is a hands-on role requiring a blend of creative content production and tactical strategy. The successful candidate will manage the hotel’s digital identity, focusing heavily on elevating our social media presence and fostering authentic community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Creation
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media calendar across all primary platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Capture high-quality, on-brand photography and video content (Reels/TikToks) that showcases the hotel’s guest rooms, restaurant, and events.
- Write concise, engaging copy tailored to each platform’s audience and the luxury market.
- Monitor social trends and implement relevant tactics to maintain brand relevancy.
Community Engagement
- Act as the primary voice of the brand online, responding to comments, direct messages, and reviews in alignment with brand standards.
- Act as a brand ambassador by representing the company at local community events, trade shows, and networking functions converting event engagement into a measurable pipeline of new leads.
- Identify and coordinate partnerships with local influencers, businesses, and community organizations to expand brand reach.
- Maintain the hotel’s business listings (i.e. Google Business Profile, TripAdvisor, Expedia) to ensure information accuracy and high engagement.
Experiential Marketing & Brand Activations
- Lead the strategy and execution of on-site activations and property-level programming, partnering closely with Operations to ensure seamless delivery.
- Manage and facilitate high-profile media visits, influencer stays, and promotional events to ensure all touchpoints align with brand standards and maximize PR value.
- Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing with the organization and execution of client events and site tours
Digital Marketing & Collateral
- Update hotel website content and landing pages to ensure alignment with current promotions and seasonal offerings.
- Manage photo & film shoots and coordinate the design and production of digital and print collateral, including menus, e-newsletters, and in-house signage.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media growth and campaign effectiveness.
Administration
- Partner with the Director of Sales & Marketing to manage the marketing budget and execute the long-term strategic roadmap.
- Oversee PR agency relations and deliverables to ensure consistent, high-impact media coverage and brand alignment.
- Produce comprehensive monthly reports that analyze and articulate marketing performance, key metrics, and ROI.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of marketing experience, preferably within the luxury hospitality or lifestyle sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in social media management tools, basic graphic design (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), mobile video editing, and SEO and CRM Software.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Toronto luxury market and current digital marketing trends.
- Attributes: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a “hands-on” approach to project completion.
Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to cover weekend or evening events as needed.
- A portfolio or examples of previous social media work and content creation.
Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000
