We’re looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Manager to lead our Platform Infrastructure operations team.  You will be responsible for a team of engineers focused on the operational and maintenance aspects of our of Kubernetes clusters and in-cluster services that underpin Anaplan’s SaaS product offering. 

This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities where you’ll manage a team of junior and senior Infrastructure Engineers on the forefront of Anaplan’s mission critical infrastructure as well as leading business projects.  Ideal candidates care passionately about the wellbeing and engagement of the people in their teams and the service that we provide to both our internal stakeholders and external customers.  

Your Impact 

• Day-to-day line management of an engineering team based in Gurugram. 

• Coaching and supporting your engineers (from senior to junior levels) with their professional development. 

• Leading the team in providing on-call coverage, responding and triaging platform alerts, and where necessary supporting incident management 

• Overseeing the maintenance of the platform, including regular upgrades and patching, developing observability, platform maintenance tasks to improve resiliency and efficiency, addressing security vulnerabilities etc. 

• Providing support to developer teams for their asks and queries related to the infrastructure. 

• Driving high standards of engineering and operational practices across the team. 

• Collaborating closely with stakeholders across the business, including Service Management, Release Management, Infrastructure Security, and Engineering & Development teams. 

• Prioritisation and planning of operational work through Agile frameworks. 

• Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, working practices and business processes. 

 

Your Qualifications 

• You have experience leading or mentoring engineers, either as a manager or a senior engineer. 

• Experience managing an operations team, including managing on-call rotations and incident response. 

• A good understanding of containerised workloads (e.g., Docker) and experience with Kubernetes is desirable. 

• Previous experience with Public Cloud Hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, or Azure). 

• A good understanding of DevOps practices and experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). 

• You excel at coaching and supporting the professional development of engineers at all levels. 

• You are a natural communicator and can do so effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• You build productive relationships with stakeholders and peers. 

• Previous experience working with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
