Iron Mountain is hiring a full-time Manager, Labor Strategy & Engagement to join its remote workforce — a strategic people-leadership role for a candidate based in or near Glendale, Denver or anywhere in the US.
About the Role
As Manager, Labor Strategy & Engagement at Iron Mountain, you will sit at the intersection of workforce relations, employee experience, and organizational strategy. This remote position partners closely with HR, Legal, and Operations to shape how Iron Mountain builds trust and alignment with its frontline and professional workforce across the country.
What You'll Do
- Design and execute labor relations and employee engagement strategies aligned with Iron Mountain's business objectives and people-first values
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on labor law compliance, including NLRA, FLSA, and applicable state regulations
- Build and maintain productive relationships with employee groups, union representatives, and works councils where applicable
- Lead the development and execution of engagement initiatives — including survey programs, action planning, and manager enablement
- Investigate and resolve complex employee relations matters with consistency, fairness, and legal defensibility
- Coach and advise business leaders on labor strategy, conflict resolution, and workforce communication best practices
- Analyze workforce data and engagement trends to surface insights and recommend proactive interventions
- Collaborate cross-functionally on policy development, change management, and organizational initiatives that affect the employee experience
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or SHRM/HRCI certification a plus
- 5+ years of progressive experience in labor relations, employee relations, or HR strategy — ideally in a large, distributed or logistics-oriented organization
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor and employment law
- Experience supporting or negotiating with organized labor or managing in a union environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Comfortable operating independently in a fully remote environment while managing multiple priorities
