Manager Customer Insights & Data Analytics

The Manager Customer Insights & Data Analytics position at Ryder System in Wyoming, Kent County leads the analysis of customer usage data to uncover growth opportunities and support strategic decision‑making across the organization.

About the Role

In this role you will partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive revenue expansion and improve customer experiences. You will oversee a small analytics team, ensuring deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives.

What You'll Do

• Collect, cleanse, and analyze customer transaction and usage data from multiple sources to identify trends, cross‑sell opportunities, and potential churn risks.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms for executive and operational stakeholders.
• Design and execute A/B tests and predictive models to measure the impact of marketing initiatives and product changes.
• Communicate findings clearly through presentations and written recommendations, translating complex analytics into business‑focused strategies.
• Mentor junior analysts, establish best practices for data governance, and ensure data quality, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to improve data pipelines and expand the analytics infrastructure.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in customer analytics, marketing analytics, or business intelligence, with at least 2 years in a people‑leadership capacity.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; hands‑on experience with Python or R for statistical analysis.
• Strong grasp of data visualization principles and expertise with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
• Demonstrated ability to build predictive models (regression, clustering, churn prediction) and validate results using rigorous statistical methods.
• Excellent communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior leaders through data‑driven storytelling.
• Experience working in logistics, transportation, or supply‑chain environments is a plus but not required.
