Join Pivotal Housing Partners as a Part-Time Maintenance Technician in Columbus, Bartholomew County, Indiana. We're seeking a reliable, hands-on technician to support the daily operations and emergency maintenance needs at our residential community serving Central Indiana.
About the Role
This is a part-time maintenance technician position supporting Central Park Place, our residential housing community located at 1500 13th Street in Columbus, IN 47201. You'll work 24 hours per week with on-call availability to respond to resident needs and facility emergencies. This role is ideal for someone with foundational maintenance experience who takes pride in keeping a residential community safe, functional, and well-maintained.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive and responsive maintenance across the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
- Respond to resident requests and maintenance work orders in a timely, professional manner
- Troubleshoot and repair common building issues to minimize resident disruption
- Maintain maintenance logs and document completed work for facility records
- Support emergency calls outside regular hours to address critical facility or resident safety issues
- Keep maintenance areas organized and equipment in working order
What We're Looking For
- At least one year of maintenance or related hands-on technical experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond promptly to emergencies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to be on-call for facility emergencies
- Professional demeanor and commitment to serving residents
