Maintenance Technician – Now Hiring

Pkm Steel Service is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in Salina, Saline County. We're looking for an experienced technician to manage equipment maintenance, preventive service, and facility repairs across our operations.

About the Role

As our Maintenance Technician, you'll perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on industrial systems and facility equipment. This full-time position combines preventive maintenance strategies with responsive troubleshooting to keep our Salina facility operating reliably and safely.

What You'll Do

• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime and extend asset lifespan
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems
• Perform facility inspections and address maintenance issues systematically
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective repairs
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate service records
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and EPA environmental regulations
• Follow industry codes and technical specifications on all work

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance, equipment repair, or mechanical service
• Demonstrated expertise with electrical systems, mechanical repair, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and electronic systems
• Understanding of OSHA regulations and EPA compliance requirements
• Familiarity with industry codes and technical specifications
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
