About the Role
As Maintenance Technician at Harvey West Studios, you'll be the backbone of our facility operations. Your work keeps our residential community functioning smoothly, from fixing appliances to maintaining critical building systems. This role requires both hands-on technical skills and a customer-service focus—you'll work independently and collaboratively to address maintenance needs promptly and professionally.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
- Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Conduct routine inspections and identify potential issues before they escalate
- Execute repairs on appliances, fixtures, and facility equipment
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all maintenance activities
- Keep common areas, grounds, and exterior spaces clean and well-maintained
- Ensure all work complies with safety codes and building standards
- Assist the property management team with facility projects and improvements
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of maintenance or related technical experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
- Problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail
- Physical capability to lift, climb, and perform manual work regularly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Trade certifications (EPA, electrical licensing, etc.) preferred
