Maintenance Helper

ASC Engineered Solutions is hiring a full-time Maintenance Helper at its Kinderhook, Lancaster County facility — a hands-on opportunity to build a lasting career in industrial maintenance with a company that has shaped the pipe fittings and flow control industry for more than 150 years.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Helper at our Kinderhook location, you will work alongside experienced maintenance technicians to keep production equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure running at peak performance. This role is ideal for mechanically minded candidates in the Lancaster County area who are eager to develop their skills inside a well-established manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Support maintenance technicians on both scheduled preventive tasks and unplanned equipment repairs
• Carry out routine upkeep including lubrication, inspection rounds, and filter changes
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems under direct supervision
• Swap out worn or damaged components and parts as directed
• Use hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment safely and correctly
• Contribute to facility upkeep including general repairs to buildings, grounds, and utilities
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and parts requisitions accurately and on time
• Help manage spare parts inventory and keep the maintenance shop organized
• Observe all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA guidelines without exception
• Participate in plant-floor continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Genuine mechanical aptitude and curiosity about how equipment operates
• Comfort handling hand and power tools in an industrial setting
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varied conditions
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and collaborate effectively with a team
• Previous experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or a skilled trade is a plus — motivated candidates with no prior experience are encouraged to apply
