Maintenance Director

About the Role

As Maintenance Director at Riverway Assisted Living in Riverton, you'll oversee all facility maintenance operations, from daily repairs to strategic planning that keeps our community running at peak performance. You'll manage a team of maintenance staff, coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, and respond quickly to urgent needs—ensuring every resident experiences a safe, well-maintained home.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing training, feedback, and support to ensure quality work
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs across the facility
• Manage work orders, scheduling, and prioritization to minimize downtime
• Inspect building systems, equipment, and grounds regularly; address issues proactively
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and building code requirements
• Manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and control costs without compromising quality
• Coordinate emergency repairs and facility-wide projects
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Director, Maintenance Manager, or Facilities Supervisor in an assisted living or similar residential setting
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and work independently
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and building codes
• Budget management and cost-control experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver's license; willingness to respond to emergencies as needed
