Mars Royal Canin is hiring a full-time Machine Operator — Night Shift at its Fremont, Alameda County facility, offering a structured rotating schedule and a meaningful role on a production team that helps pets live healthier lives.

About the Role

As a Night Machine Operator at Mars Royal Canin in Fremont, you will keep production lines running safely and efficiently during overnight hours. This position follows a rotating 12-hour shift pattern — 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM — giving you predictable blocks of time on and off. A $3.00 per hour shift differential recognizes the value of overnight work.

Shift Schedule

The rotating schedule follows this recurring cycle:

• 2 days on, 2 days off
• 3 days on, 2 days off
• 2 days on, 3 days off

This pattern provides extended consecutive days off throughout the month while maintaining consistent coverage on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery during overnight production runs
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Follow safety, sanitation, and quality standards throughout each shift
• Accurately document production activity and report irregularities to supervisors
• Collaborate with team members to meet nightly output targets

Qualifications

• Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts on the rotating schedule described above
• Comfort standing, walking, and performing physical tasks throughout a full shift
• Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Prior machine operation or manufacturing experience is a plus
