What This Role Involves
The role of a Machine Learning System Engineer Graduate at ByteDance involves contributing to the development and maintenance of machine learning systems that power various business units, including Douyin, Toutiao, and Xigua Video. You will be part of AML (Anti-Money Laundering)’s team, which focuses on providing robust training and inference systems for recommendation, advertising, computer vision, speech, and natural language processing.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize machine learning models to enhance the performance of various applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into existing systems.
- Conduct research on new algorithms and techniques to improve system efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure high-quality code standards and maintain documentation for all projects.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong background in machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, and experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Experience with distributed computing systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
