About the Role
As a Locate Technician based in Kalispell, you will identify and mark the position of underground utility lines before excavation begins, helping prevent costly and dangerous damage to buried assets. This is an outdoor, on-the-road position covering Kalispell and nearby areas of Flathead County, ideal for someone who values accuracy, independence, and dependable customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to locate requests across Kalispell and the surrounding Flathead County service area.
- Use electronic detection equipment to find and accurately mark underground utility lines.
- Document each locate clearly and thoroughly to support damage prevention efforts.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and excavators on site.
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards while working in the field.
Qualifications
- Comfortable working outdoors in varied Montana weather and terrain.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and safety.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage a daily route independently.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the local service area.
