Gpac

Gpac is hiring a full-time Litigation Defense Attorney to join its expanding legal team in Sylvania, Lonoke County — a hands-on opportunity for a licensed attorney ready to build a meaningful defense practice inside a collaborative, growth-focused firm.

About the Role

This position is designed for a civil litigator who wants consistent courtroom exposure and genuine professional development. You'll carry civil defense matters across all phases — from the moment a complaint lands through pre-trial motions and, where necessary, trial itself. The team is growing, the caseload is real, and the environment is built around mentorship rather than sink-or-swim.

What You'll Do

  • Handle a portfolio of civil litigation defense cases with day-to-day autonomy
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and factual investigations
  • Develop case strategy and prepare clients for hearings and trial
  • Argue motions before the court and, when cases proceed to trial, serve as lead or supporting trial counsel
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to meet filing deadlines and client expectations
  • Maintain thorough, organized case files and billing records

What We're Looking For

  • Active bar license in good standing (Arkansas bar admission or eligibility to waive in is expected for this Lonoke County–area role)
  • Minimum 2 years of civil litigation experience — defense-side background is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently from initial filing through trial preparation
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Detail-oriented approach to case management and client communication
  • Team-first mindset and comfort working in a collaborative, supportive setting
