About the Role
We're seeking a talented Lighting Artist to develop and enhance lighting for game environments. In this contingent position, you'll partner with the environment team to establish the visual mood, atmosphere, and clarity that bring game spaces to life. Your work will directly impact how players experience our worlds, whether through dramatic cinematic moments or subtle environmental storytelling.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement lighting solutions for game environments using industry-standard game engines
- Build and refine lighting setups that support gameplay, narrative, and visual design goals
- Collaborate with environment artists, technical artists, and game designers to optimize lighting for performance and aesthetics
- Iterate on lighting designs based on feedback and playtesting insights
- Troubleshoot lighting issues and solve complex technical and artistic challenges
- Maintain lighting consistency across environments while upholding high-quality standards
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience as a Lighting Artist in AAA game development
- Proficiency with at least one modern game engine and its lighting systems
- Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Portfolio showcasing your lighting work in shipped titles or professional projects
- Authorization to work in the United States
