About the Role

As an Activities Assistant on our Life Enrichment team, you'll work under the direction of our Life Enrichment Director to create a vibrant, supportive environment where residents thrive. This part-time position focuses on developing and facilitating activities that honor each resident's interests, abilities, and personal history, promoting emotional well-being and social connection within our Mount Prospect community.

What You'll Do

• Organize and lead engaging recreational, cultural, and therapeutic activities tailored to memory care residents' needs and preferences
• Deliver exceptional customer service and compassionate care interactions with residents and their families
• Document activity participation and resident responses to support the Life Enrichment Director's program assessment
• Maintain safe, clean, and welcoming activity spaces and materials
• Collaborate with the broader care team to support residents' overall quality of life and therapeutic goals
• Help create a warm, respectful environment that celebrates each resident's dignity and individuality

What We're Looking For

• Genuine passion for supporting older adults, particularly those with memory loss or cognitive changes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with patience and empathy
• Ability to remain calm, positive, and creative when adapting activities for varying abilities
• Reliability and commitment to consistent part-time hours
• Basic organizational and problem-solving skills
• Prior experience with seniors, activities coordination, or caregiving is valued but not required
