Summary:

​Leads the design, development, and delivery of complex software systems across Tekion’s platform. Balances hands-on development with technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration to drive impactful outcomes and advance engineering best practices. ​

Duties & Responsibilities:

• ​Leads end-to-end technical execution for major projects, from design through deployment and monitoring.
• ​Develops and enforces engineering standards, coding practices, and architectural guidelines across teams.
• ​Works closely with product, UX, and architecture teams to define scalable technical solutions.
• ​Mentors engineers at various levels and supports talent development through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• ​Investigates production issues and leads root cause analysis and long-term solutions for system health.
• ​Champions innovation, system improvements, and performance optimizations across products and services. ​

Job Complexity:

Leads projects with cross-functional dependencies and significant technical complexity. Guides technical strategy and drives execution. ​

Required Supervision:

Functions independently and provides technical leadership to multiple engineers. Accountable for design decisions and engineering quality. ​

Expertise:

Strong technical depth in system architecture, application development, and software design. Recognized for team leadership and reliable execution. ​ ​ ​

Qualifications:

• ​6–9 years of experience in software engineering
• ​Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• ​Proven experience leading development of distributed systems, cloud-native applications, or large-scale platforms
• ​Deep proficiency in programming languages, development frameworks, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes)
• ​Strong problem-solving, architecture design, and technical mentoring skills
• ​Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership capabilities
