JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for financial controls and group-wide reporting processes, ensuring full compliance with IFRS, group accounting policies, and applicable laws and regulations. Works in close partnership with the Lead Consolidation & Reporting, aligning on responsibilities and jointly safeguarding the integrity and accuracy of consolidated financial reporting. This role has overall responsibility for the control environment and process governance, while the Lead Consolidation and Reporting focuses on execution, systems, and detailed reporting activities. Provides technical direction, drives continuous process improvements and supports the development of junior team members.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead the group-wide financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS, group accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Safeguard the integrity of consolidated financial statements, working closely with the Lead Consolidation & Reporting Specialist and collaborating with senior stakeholders across the group.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial controls, reporting processes, and systems, with a focus on standardisation, automation, and process maturity.
• Oversee the statutory audit of the consolidated group financial statements, ensuring efficient coordination and timely filing.
• Partner with business and finance stakeholders on ad hoc projects, acquisitions, and other initiatives requiring group finance expertise.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to local finance teams and junior colleagues, supporting capability building and fostering a strong control culture.

WHAT YOU’ll BRING

• Advanced knowledge of group accounting and consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and multi-currency accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS, statutory and consolidated reporting processes.
• Proficiency in consolidation and reporting systems, including underlying data model structures.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, including design, implementation and monitoring of financial reporting processes.
• Ability to establish, document, and continuously improve group-wide accounting, consolidation, and reporting processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
• Experience in managing audit processes and ensuring compliance with internal and external control requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and propose pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex matters clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Collaborative and supportive approach fostering strong relationships across functions and geographies.
• Demonstrates sound judgment, resilience, and the ability to act with integrity in complex situations.
