About the Role
As a Lead Event Specialist Part Time with Acosta in Austin, Travis County, you will host hands-on food and non-food demonstrations directly on the retail floor. This customer-facing position blends product expertise, salesmanship, and event coordination, giving you the chance to connect with consumers, represent leading brands, and drive purchase decisions through memorable in-store events.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, run, and break down in-store food and non-food product demonstrations.
- Build and maintain thorough knowledge of the products and brands you represent.
- Engage and approach shoppers, sample or showcase products, and encourage on-the-spot sales in a courteous, professional way.
- Operate, care for, and keep the event execution equipment in good working order at each store location.
- Present a clean, polished, and professional appearance that reflects the standards of the role and the brands on display.
Qualifications
- Confident, outgoing personality with strong face-to-face communication and persuasion skills.
- Comfort approaching and interacting with the public to spark interest and generate sales.
- Reliability in handling event equipment and following demonstration procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and remain on your feet throughout an in-store event.
