About the Role

As a KYCO Intern based in Madrid, Spain, you'll contribute directly to N26's mission of upholding Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) standards. Working alongside experienced specialists, you'll help nurture a culture of compliance that customers, regulators, and stakeholders can rely on — making this an excellent first step for students or recent graduates passionate about fighting financial crime.

Key Responsibilities

• Take part in everyday Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews and transaction monitoring, spotting potential financial crime signals and unusual patterns.
• Help manage document workflows, handle administrative duties, and validate customer profiles to keep compliance running smoothly.
• Contribute to remediation and continuous-improvement projects, refining internal screening tools and updating Working Instructions.
• Support data collection for regulatory enquiries and internal coordination under the guidance of KYCO Team Leads and Managers.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for or recently finished a Bachelor's degree, ideally in Law, Business Administration, Criminology, Finance, or a similar discipline; previous internship or working-student experience is a bonus.
• Genuine enthusiasm for financial crime prevention; familiarity with the Spanish regulatory landscape (Law 10/2010 and Sepblac guidelines) is a strong advantage.
• Professional fluency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Confident with technology and collaboration tools, and quick to pick up specialist compliance software.
• Sharp analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and a responsible approach to confidential data.
• A proactive, self-directed mindset with a bias for action and the flexibility to thrive amid shifting regulatory and business demands.
